We would like to reassure our customers that we are continuing to work with all the government guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are classed as keyworkers working for and on behalf of UK Power Networks helping to maintain the electricity supplies into homes and commercial properties, so it is important to us that we can carry out these works safely and adhering to all legislation and safety aspects of the pandemic. This also applies to all of our domestic, commercial and industrial customers.
As a company J and J Drake have produced a COVID–19 risk assessment which has been issued to all our engineers, office staff and clients. This is constantly updated to ensure it complies with all government guidelines.
All of our engineers and office staff have their temperature checked every morning which is logged and checked into the NHS COVID-19 app.
All our staff have been issued with all relevant PPE and additional sanitisers to ensure that you feel safe when we enter your property.
Upon arrival at a customers property, please do not be alarmed if our staff are wearing additional PPE. This is to protect our customers, the public and themselves.
We will adhere to site social distancing and at times our customers may be asked to distance in another room within the property.
All of our engineers are kept in fixed teams to reduce the number of people each person comes into contact with.
All of our engineers tools are cleaned and sanitised regularly and we limit the number of engineers using these tools.
When working in a customer’s property we will request that the work area is kept ventilated as practically as possible by opening windows and doors.
All of our office staff also adhere to social distancing and all of our work stations have been strategically re-positioned to ensure safe working in well ventilated areas.
If a member of our staff have found that they or anyone in their household has any symptoms of COVID–19 they will not come into work and will self-isolate.
Communication and training is key within our business to keep all of our staff, clients and customers updated with all COVID-19 safety measures to ensure we all stay safe.
